Updated: Mar 16, 2020

About This Game The flute nose dynasty has been watching over Asposia for centuries on end. In secret, they fill the roly-poly world with light and life. Emil, a trader for odds and ends, has led all the Asposians astray, making them believe that the dynasty is in cahoots with dark forces. Seriously, who knows what this weird family is doing day in, day out? The only one who could stop evil Emil is the heir to the flute nose throne: Robert. He has been petrified for three years, though. With a huge dose of enthusiasm, but little to no idea what he’s actually doing, he embarks on an adventure to find the legendary last wind monk. Of course, he has some great company: Peck, as loyal as he is flightless, and Laura, a rebel who certainly does fly, but only off the handle and who is Robert’s love with a capital L, by the way. A final ray of hope is provided by the mysterious Mama Dola, who seems to know more about Robert’s destiny than Robert himself…FeaturesExperience the fun and moving sequel to “The Inner World” (you don’t need to know the first part!). Puzzles aside, most of them is on the original's level of easy\/obscure (e.g. building a little boat to catch a fly that's within your arms' reach, you've heard that right). Serviceable enough. The writing, however, is inexcusable. Original characters are terribly re-written and participate in an artificially provoked and nonsensically resolved story that doesn't even tell anything new - the message is the same as the original's, except written much worse. There are things introduced early that are being dropped right after, or introduced at the very end game without any reason or relevance to the story, and they all lack any kind of character or a comfy feeling The Inner World was full of.The whole thing feels more like a bad fan fiction written by a bunch of random people, not an expansion of the original material made by its creators.. I fell in love with this game as much as I did the first one. Love the characters, story, graphics, and gameplay. It has an autosave, but also lets you manual save if you want to exit. In-game hints if you want them (I didn't use it so not sure how helpful it is, but probably similar to that of the first game). If you haven't played the first Inner World I recommend playing that first, but both games are excellent classic point and clicks with a great story. I highly recommend to all adventure gamers.. The Last Wind Monk is exactly what it says on the tin. This is a proper German adventure game; a worthy follow-up to the first Inner World. I don't find the characters very likable or much understand their interpersonal relationships, but the overall story is cute and the pacing is perfect. The art is gorgeous. The puzzles are just right. Even if you get stuck there is an excellent per-puzzle hint system that avoids you having to try skim a walkthrough and spoil other puzzles in the process. I played it in German so can't comment on the English dubbing, but the German is fine and funny and never grating. Overall a very solid adventure.. tl;dr: Good, albeit short point & click adventure with a useful help feature.Just like its prequel, this is a classical point & click adventure. Talk to characters, pick up items, combine them with the world or with each other, etc.The formula doesn't need changing and this game doesn't attempt to.A few nice mechanics are added like switching between characters (depending on the chapter) or playing music with your flute-nose.The story, art, music and voice acting are all good, even if not outstanding. And the story of its predecessor is brought to a nice end - I don't expect a third installment.Of course, a big +1 for offering a well-working linux version. There are two notable downsides to the game, though:First, it is short. There's no denying it. 6-8 hours just isn't really long when compared to the likes of Monkey Island, The Whispered World, etc.The second problem is that many puzzles are of the famed "moon logic" as some adventure games unfortunately are. Sometimes, you basically end up combining everything with everything else and when you accidentally hit the solution, you end up thinking "well... that was weird".Thankfully, the game has a built-in walkthrough, that can give you hints step by step without spoiling too much. This offsets the moon logic somewhat, so I'd say this is just a minor downside.. One of the best games i have ever played!. It is kind of amusing but have some points which makes it realy hard for me to enjoy this game.At first, the puzzles are realy easy to solve and spread over a maximum of 3 different screens. The dialogs feel unnatural because the sound files don't overlap which means a person getting "interrupted" by another one finishes its sentence by itself ... a little pause with no voice ... and then the "interrupter" starts to speek. All this I could easily ignore and enjoy the story, wouldn't there be this sometimes game-breaking bug where the game always ends itself if you change the screen. ~.~. Very fun game that gets almost everything right. The graphics, interface, sound\/music are all great. The story is interesting and the humour works well. The only disappointment is that the solutions to the puzzles in the second half of the game were at times obscure. I ended up using the in game hints at times, which I hate doing. At times, reading the solutions to puzzles didn't make the logic of the puzzle clear. Doesn't spoil the game but with better puzzles the game would be a classic.. As a fan of the previous "The Inner World" game, I instantly bought this game when I saw it came out. (Especially because it was on sale)The game is very cute, fun to play, and has better art-style than the previous game.In my opinion, the story is rather lacking, and doesn't come to par with the previous game's.. One of the best games i have ever played!. Not to hard not to easy, but much faster loading times in this one compared to the 1st game
