About This Game Take control of a settlement of the first modern humans, guide them through the ages in their struggle for survival.Dawn of Man is a survival/city-builder from the creators of Planetbase. The game starts in the Stone Age, and takes you up to the Iron Age, spanning more than 10,000 years of human prehistory. You will have to get your people to survive, expand and evolve, just like our ancestors, facing the challenges that the environment will throw at you.HuntAnimals were a vital source of food and resources for ancient humans. Use their meat to feed your people and their skin and bones to make clothing and craft the tools you will need to stay alive. Confront Mammoths, Woolly Rhinos, Ancient Bison, Megaloceros, Cave Lions and other species that roamed the earth at the time.GatherCollect a variety resources from the environment: fruit, berries, water, wood, flint, stone, ores. Use them to prepare food, to make tools and to build structures in your settlement.Plan for harsh timesFish is more abundant in spring, berries and fruit can be collected in summer and animals are easier to come by when it's warm. When winter comes, make sure to have enough non-perishable food and warm clothing in order to survive.Expand and fortify your settlementBuild more homes and facilities for your people, in order to expand your population. Construct fortifications and craft weapons, so you are ready for when the inevitable conflict comes.Research TechnologiesEach new discovery will make it easier for your settlement to be able to support larger populations, but will also bring new challenges: increased food demand, morale issues and more frequent raider attacks.Build Megalithic StructuresOur ancestors were capable of incredible engineering feats: mine massive rocks from the environment, transport them using sledges and construct colossal stone structures.Control NatureUnlock farming technologies to grow your own vegetables, so you can feed large amounts of people. Domesticate animals to produce food, resources and provide increased muscle power. 7aa9394dea Title: Dawn of ManGenre: Indie, Simulation, StrategyDeveloper:Madruga WorksPublisher:Madruga WorksRelease Date: 1 Mar, 2019 Dawn Of Man Pack Awesome game! Tough, very tough but rewarding at the same time. Only issue for me is the AI... Why is it, that when you reach between 150 and 250 population, the AI prioritisation fails? ie. setting your crops (rye, barley ect) to high priority when nothing else is on and they just walk passed. It is very frustrating and does not make sense IMO. Also would love to see some raider villages to attack, units that specialise in combat and maybe some kind of stronghold\/fort.I highly doubt that any Dev's will see this but I would love to know how the priority works.. I wanted to like this game. But they will hunt and kill something and have 3 open inventory spaces and only bring back 1 meat or bone while leaving the rest on the ground. There is also issues with reassigning a task doesnt work and that is infuriating when you only have 7 pops. I like to micromanage, but not like this. I also could not get tanning to function, until i purchased leather from the trader, in what i assumed reset the variable for that action and the pops began to work the que. Too many bugs.. This is my first reviewFun RTS\/survival with base building. This game is very good and has a bright future, the devs are also brilliant. The reason i cannot reccomend as its just boring with the content available right now. Its fun for a couple hours and then your just going through the stages but nothing changes, you just get better houses etc but for no real reason. Hopefully this game will get more content soon so i will be able to reccomend.. Hi All,I have few hours playing the game, but I can say that Dawn of Man is an amazing game with a lot of room for improvement. That's been said, I want to point out some terrible bugs which need urgent update:1. The dead. After someone has been killed, the game doesn't have any mechanics to make the people pick him\/her up and perform some kind of ancient funerary rites. The poor deads just lay there, like nothing! The humankind in Dawn of Man's prehistoric period doesn't lack of reverence to their deads. The devs should adress that issue asap.2. Dangerous animals. For my surprise, dangerous animals like cave lions, wolfs, bears and others simply walk around (and sometimes walk through) the paleolithic "village" like they lived in some kind of paradise. I think that is a serious bug! Humankind try to be very far from such beasts. I saw a little girl, alone, simply walk side by side of a cave lion to pick some water! C'mon!3. Lack of Hunting Coordination. We are unable to control any hunting strategy. We can only command a man or woman to hunt a specific animal, and that's it. The rest is up to the game's AI. The game need to include hunting strategies.4. Socialization. The clan's people are incapable to socialize with each other. There's is no conversations, and at night (ok, another point: there's no day\/night cycle) any kind of interation, such as storytelling or rituals, happens. People walk around as nobody cares for anyone.Despite those bugs, the game is really fun to play. The design is very good, and I think it worth the price.Sorry if I sound too demanding, but I think Dawn of Man has a lot of amazing possibilities. And those improvements will give the game a fantastic boost in sales and fun.As always, sorry my bad english.. While an enjoyable sim, it is not particularly interesting in the long term. Combat is mob. Defenses are knocked down with a couple of spears. Workload management is poorly implemented. It is good for 16 hours or so play, so if you want to kill a few days, and want to kick back doing other things while it runs, then it is fine. Just get it on sale.
